I know I get accused of rampant homerism every time I post a track from a Boston artist, but this new REKS is so damn dope I don't care. Yeah, that's right, I give preferential treatment to rappers from the city of birth. So what? Go ahead and tell me this new "Why Cry" isn't dope. Go ahead, I'll wait.

At first it sounds like that beat from The Alchemist is going to be corny, and then without warning it flips into exactly the kind of darkly banging joint we've come to expect from The Alchemist. It's the perfect backdrop for REKS to drop yet another fearless verse - and for some reason I constantly underestimate Styles P and then am forced to go, oh yeah, he's actually pretty damn good. Put the children to bed and hide the wife, it's that real real rap.
