Raekwon, Rick Ross & Ghostface Killah Sip on Some “Molasses” (Listen & Download)

I was going to start off this post with some sort of "that title's actually a reference to the rappers involved running speed" but I have too much respect for the hip-hop legends (and Rick Ross) involved to do something so corny. Instead let's just get right into the new music that is Raekwon, Ricky Rozay and Ghostface Killah spitting over "Molasses".

With Xtreme manning the boards and creating a horn influenced, old school feeling, appropriately slow beat The Chef does exactly what we'd expect from him (minus the hilarious ad-libs we heard yesterday), I have to say the Bawse holds his own (although that Twitter thug line is painful) and Ghost proves yet again why he's one of my favorite emcees ever - who else would kick off a verse with "We in the back roastin marshmallows"? That was a rhetorical question - no one. Not an instant classic, but you can't go wrong with some "Molasses" in the morning.

Rae’s upcoming album, "Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang", is due out March 8. Support a hip-hop legend. (Side note: they guest on each others tracks constantly - why not a full collab album between Rae and Ghost? I'm just saying, think it over guys.)
