PTFAO Blog: This Week With Rock City Vol. 5 [Exclusive]

RIGHT ABOUT NOW…..What’s up Refined Hype, it’s Rock City checking in with the newest installment of our weekly column, letting you know what we’ve been up to and how we’ve been working to PUT THE FUCKIN’ ALBUM OUT!!!!!

First off we hope everyone had a happy and healthy holiday. This is Theron aka Da Spokesman checking in to update you on what we have been up to for the past week. For Thanksgiving we got our whole family together at our Mom’s house in Atlanta and had a beautiful day together. Our mom is a vegan now so the entire meal was vegan and it was the first time we didn’t have any Caribbean food at the dinner! At first, I was definitely a little skeptical but I have to tell you it was SO good. She made an amazing veggie lasagna that was delicious. It was the first time I’d ever had anything vegan before but it was definitely much better than I was expecting. Who knew?!? My Grandma was there as well which was great and everyone was just having a good time, enjoying each other’s company, playing games and being with family. A great day for sure.

My personal highlight for the week was my son started walking and I got to see the first steps which was an indescribable feeling. I have a daughter as well and I missed her first time walking because I was working, so to be there for this was the proudest and best moment of my life. I don’t know how many of you out there have children but there is NOTHING like witnessing those first steps and this was definitely one of my best memories.

Back to everyone else! We ALL did our Christmas shopping on Black Friday from about 5AM until 9 or 10 in the morning and we got all of our shopping done. We have gifts for everyone so everyone will get something great on Christmas morning, which we are already looking forward to.

During the week we also went to the 25th Anniversary of the Reebok Pumps with our good friend Verse (if you haven’t started listening to Verse yet, get on it, he’s a true talent). We were lucky enough to get some free shoes, which we are very grateful for, as we both are big into fashion. We also got into the studio with Shareefa, who is a very hot artist and did some good work.

We saw Twilight: New Moon this past week and LOVED it, a great movie. We definitely side with my man Jacob, I don’t want to ruin anything about the movie for you but Jacob is the man and he definitely deserves the girl! Everybody go out and see this one, you will all like it and we are anxiously waiting for the next one.
