Paypa is one of those rappers that I've seen around for a minute now, and I've even heard snippets from here and there, but I just never really took the time to listen to because approximately eleventy-million new songs drop every day and I can't listen to 'em all.

But then I happened to hear "Where's The Love", was impressed enough to make sure I listened to the Chicago emcee's new "H.O.T.R. 2" mixtape, and sure enough this shit is dope. Like really dope. Like I'm now completely and totally sold on Paypa-level dope. The moral of the story? There's a lot you can do, and not do, but ultimately if you're a rapper looking to rise above the flood of new music, all you have to is make dope music, and make dope music consistently. (I know, it's so easy.)
