I was trying to come up with some pun for Outasight's new free mixtape/mixalbum/free album "Never Say Never", but I'm actually not sure what's so "never-ish" about the project. Does Outasight people think they'd never hear a white guy sing hip-hop/soul/r&b? That he'd never actually come out with the project? (He already
dropped one last year via LRG.) Whatever. I don't know what the title means, and it doesn't really matter. All I know is that it's out, it's free and it's dope.
In addition to Outasight's retro-crooning, "Never Say Never" features contributions from
Gangster Freddie Gibbs, newly signed
XV and
Avriel Epps, as well as production from
6th Sense, Cook Classics, Sa-Ra and
Mike Cash. Enjoy, I know I am.
