Numonics Gets Real on “Being Cool Doesn’t Pay the Bills” (Mixtape Listen & Download)

When I was sixteen I told my mom I wanted a car. She paused, looked at me, and responded, "well, you should probably get a job then." I spent that summer working in a sub shop, sweating over a hot grill and cleaning out grease traps, but by the time September rolled around, I was rolling around town in a 1990 Pontiac 6000 LE (hells yeah). That summer I learned two important lessons. One, it's incredible more people don't get food poisoning, and two, being cool doesn't pay the bills.

South Florida producer Numonics has taken that same lesson and flipped it into one hell of a new mixtape on his new project "Being Cool Doesn’t Pay the Bills". Presented by IM King, Ruby Hornet and DJBooth, produced entirely by Numonics and blended by DJ RTC, the 21-track project finds the up-and-coming beatsmith enlisting a diverse cast of rising stars and established heavyweights to pay testament to doing whatever you have to do to keep those creditors at bay. What do I mean by rising stars? How about Donny Goines, Reks, Shawn Chrystopher, Sene, Co$$, Shawn Jackson, RAtheMC, Dre Biggity and many more.
