It's been a rough road for singer/producer/rapper/songwriter/Olympic archery gold medalist (ok, maybe not that last one)
Novel album wise. His 2002 effort "The Word" never dropped, he struggled to get out a solo album in the middle of the decade and now his latest effort "Audiobiography" has been shelved. Undaunted, the man's decided, f**k it, I'll just drop projects myself. So in addition to his recent collab project "
Defying the Predictable", he's got a new mixtape "Legato Summer Blues" on the way (hopefully), as well as another album "Calligraphy" (hopefully).
The latest leak off "Calligraphy" is the synth-esque, super smooth "
Walking on Air", featuring some rhyme work from the Brooklyn Bodega banger
Joell Ortiz and a verse from
Colin Munroe, who continues his ascent to the least likely hip-hop hook man ever. I'm not saying this is Novel's most strip-club ready song, but it's up there. Consider that a recommendation strip club DJs. This is that private lap dance ish.
