To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the iconic
Nike Cortez sneaker, Nike will be introducing four brand new colorways for the sneaker which include blue, lime green, red, and tan. The blue and red colorways are a little standard looking, but the tan sneaker with the red Nike swoosh and the sneaker with the lime-green/white colorway are both somewhat unique looking.
Now I hate to admit it but the Nike Cortez really doesn't strike me as a sneaker that's "iconic." A statement from Nike states that, "People said it [Nike Cortez] felt like running on the moon. It won races." I find it hard to believe that these bowling ball shoe looking sneakers won anything. Lookwise, they're not bad especially with the new colorways but they're very much on the casual side. At this time it's unclear how much the new Nike Cortez will retail for or when it will be available for purchase.
