With vintage pieces quite popular among fashionista’s, hipsters, and other fashion-conscious folks across the country it comes as no surprise that major brands like Nike are releasing a number of vintage inspired pieces. This fall, sneaker heads can look forward to the release of
Nike’s Blazer Hi Vintage.
The sneaker, which is made of suede and leather (mostly suede), will come in two different colors: “Blue Grey” and “Gold Dart.” The sole of the sneaker sports a worn look which adds to the sneakers vintage appeal. While the worn soul does make the Nike Blazer Hi a tad more “vintage-y” I’ve personally never been a fan of sneakers that look worn before you even set foot in them. But like I said before it does work for the sneaker.
Aside from the faux worn sole the Blazer Hi Vintage is actually a decent looking kick. I’m personally digging the blue-grey and gold color they’re available in although they do kind of give off that Easter pastel vibe. It would have been nice to see the Blazer Hi available in other colors. I’m sure a cranberry-red color would be a nice addition to the collection.
The Nike Blazer Hi Vintage is currently being sold by Japanese retailer Atmos, but a U.S. release is expected sometime this fall.
