Bun B & Tech N9ne Jump Onboard Novel & Joell Ortiz’ “Night Train Remix” (Listen & Download)

Months after the release of their bluesy tune "Night Train," Joell Ortiz and Novel have released a remix of the song which features fellow rappers Tech N9ne and Bun B. The remix to this working man's (or woman's) anthem sticks to the same production but includes added verse's from Tech N9ne and Bun B with Ortiz passing on a new verse.

Is it just me or does it sound like Novel's kind of channeling D'Angelo, especially in the first and last 30 seconds of the song? Novel's already a great singer but the ruggedness of his voice makes him perfect for a song like this. Could you imagine someone like Trey Songz singing the chorus to "Night Train"? It would have lost all its genuineness.

And I was somewhat shocked, in a good way, by Tech N9ne's verse on the track. He managed to keep with the theme of the song by keeping his verse relatively cool, calm, and collective as he rapped about the struggles of being an artist.
