I've been doing this for a long time, so believe me when I say that no rapper has polarized the hip-hop nation like Nicki Minaj since Eminem first burst on the scene. When we were in the throes of the pre-"Pink Friday" hype orgy nary a day would go by without a "Nicki Minaj is the worst thing to happen to rap since Vanilla Ice" vs. "She's actually got an original style, stop hating" debate would explode. But given some time I think a lot of us have reached a certain acceptance - kind of like you do with your drunk uncle. You're not exactly happy he's a drunk, but he's ruining family picnics long enough for you to accept that's who he is, he's not going to change, so you might as well enjoy his occasionally funny jokes.
Nope, you don't agree? You still hate her with every fiber of your being? Tell that to the Barbie over there ready to rip your head off for insulting Ms. Minaj. Nevermind then, I guess she's still as polarizing as ever, so I'm guessing we'll see a divided opinion about her not-quite-as-crazy-as-usual verse on the remix to Big Sean's "Dance (Ass)".
Can we all at least agree that she belongs in the "MBOW" Hall of Fame?
