I'm trying to keep my expectations in check, but if you're a hip-hop head who's not stoked to hear Nas' upcoming "Life is Good" album, you're not a hip-hop head. Everything we've heard off the album so far has ranged from pretty damn good to holy balls this is dope, and new release "Bye Baby" is no different.

This one might not be as rawly dope as "Loco-Motive", but since it's so obviously about the breakup of his marriage to Kelis, the interest factor couldn't be higher. Complex actually just did a dope interview with Nas where he breaks down the Kelis fiasco nicely, but now we get the full run down in audio form.

"Life is Good" drops Tuesday, July 19. In the meantime, enjoy. (Oh, and just because I can't resist tracking down a good sample, that's actually Salaam Remi and Noah "40" Shebib on the beat and a sample of Guy's "Goobye Love".)
