Murs & Fashawn Represent For “This Generation” On Their Newest Collab (Listen)

If you were to hit up someone around the age of say 50 or older, there's a pretty good chance that they might not have the most delightful things to say when it comes to this generation and West Coast rappers Murs and Fashawn touch on just that and more on their newest record, "This Generation."

On "This Generation" the two artists go on to swap verses as they touch on the tough circumstances they likely share with others in their generation. Murs provides the record with its most prolific moment during his last verse as he raps, "What we do for respect cause this generation got a noose on its neck/ We let it all hang out, society wouldn't let us in so we banged out." Despite the heavy content featured on the record, singer Adrian's poppy hook and Beatnick & K-Salaam percussion-heavy production keep the sound of the record relatively upbeat.

"This Generation" serves as the title track for the duo's "This Generation" album which is due out on September 25.
