It's moments like this that make me believe in God. Just moments after I was desperately trying to wipe the horrible taste of that Lil Wayne verse from my ears, the good lord Allmighty took pity on my rap soul and delivered some salvation in the form of Mobb Deep and Nas' new joint, "Get It Forever".
Unlike Wayne, Prodigy has emerged from jail determined to rhyme just as hard as always, that Havoc beat is nothing to mess with and I have to say, Nas has really been on a roll lately. It's beginning to look like a late career renaissance for Nasir. Hell yeah. I'll now definitely be coping MD's "Black Cocaine EP" when it drops the day after Thanksgiving, November 25. (Also know as Black Friday. Get it?)
Download and stream of "Get It Forever" is below the video for "Shook Ones II" because, you know, I'm not passing up any opportunity to listen to one of the best NYC street rap songs ever.
