Mary J. Blige has really racked up quite a few features for her newst album "My Life II...The Journey Continues (Act 1)." First it was Rick Ross and Drake, then Beyonce, and now we've got a Mary collab with none other than Queens' own
Nas. On top of stacking features for the new album it sounds like Mary's really trying to create an album that sounds like it was released in the 90's. I could hear it on her song with Beyonce and it's even more evident on the album's latest release "Feel Inside." Just having Nas on the track gives it somewhat of a throwback sound in my opinion, but throw in that Wu-Tang "Triumph" sample and yea it's 90's all the way.
I highly doubt that Mary was trying to recreate "You're All I Need," that song is way too classic for that, but "Feel Inside" does remind me a bit of "You're All I Need." And while I can't be too mad at a Wu-Tang sample that "Triumph" sample is just way too prominent on "Feel Inside." At times it sounds like they're just rapping/singing along to the "Triumph" instrumental and nothing else.
