Lupe Fiasco & John Legend Will “Never Forget You” (Listen & Download)

And here we go again. When Dr. Dre's new record "Kush" leaked yesterday morning, I predicted we'd go through a three part leak acceptance process: denial, admission and finally, acceptance. No surprise that's exactly how it played out, and we can expect a sequel to that movie today now that the leak of Lupe Fiasco and John Legend's collaborative effort, "Never Forget You" has found its way onto the internets. Except, Lupe being Lupe, we'll probably also get a Kanye-esque rant about why he hates leaks in five, four, three.....

No matter the politics and philosophies surrounding the leak, more importantly "Never Forget You" is an absolutely beautiful record. John Legend's cinematic voice and the lushly clapping production gives Lupe's lyrics and typically relaxed flow an even more uplifting feel. Come on pretend thugs, you know you love this too. Between this and "The Show Goes On", "Lasers" is sounding like it could be Lupe's most successful album yet; assuming Atlantic actually ever releases it.
