Lupe Fiasco Disgraces Himself on Chris Brown’s “Girlfriend” (Listen & Download)

I know, I know. Two Chris Brown tracks in one day? Yeah, well when Lupe Fiasco, one of the best, most creative rappers alive tarnishes his legacy on Brown's atrocious new track "Girlfriend" that s**t is newsworthy. I haven't been this disappointed since I found out Santa wasn't real...or that Salma Hayek's breasts were fake. Point is, they were both mildly traumatic experiences the likes of which are comparable to listen to Lupe go in over one of the worst Chris Brown songs in Chris Brown history.

Now I don't want anyone thinking this is some knee jerk reaction, so let me make one thing clear: I have absolutely no problem with Lupe appearing on a Chris Brown track. If he had jumped on "Wait" that could have been pretty ill. It would have been fascinating to see how he'd flow over a beat like that, and to have him and Game on the same track? I'm listening to that. But this? This? This is a travashamockery (travesty x sham x mockery). The production is infuriatingly euro-techno and Brown's vocals are auto-tuned to death. Lupe's actual verse is ok, but the rest of the song is so terrible it hardly matters. You can be a diamond in a pile of s**t, but I still don't want anything to do with a pile of s**t. Can you tell I'm angry? I should go drink some tea or do some yoga or something to calm down.

(In retrospect I should have seen this coming.)
