I thought this was confirmed to be on "Battle of the Sexes"? Pretty decent track. Far from Luda's best. Hopefully it won't be a single. |

At first I thought, "OK, maybe this could work" when I listened to the new version (though disappointed that you-know-who wasn't going to be on it-they had previously announced that as the first official single). Then I Googled to see who produced this, and what do you know: THE LEGENDARY TRAXSTER. At this point, my disappointment turned into anger (because we coulda heard them BOTH over a Traxster beat). Living right above Chicago, I feel that's the biggest snub we got since finishing DEAD LAST in the voting for the 2016 Olympics. (Luda BETTER be glad I'm not Dr. Bruce Banner-"You call THAT disturbing peace? HULK SMASH PUNY RAPPER!") (20 minutes later, after I calmed down) OK...maybe I'm exaggerating a bit. But still, that was a HUGE deflation in my hopes for musical hearing. If Z ever gets to interview either of the two parties involved in the original, I hope he asks if any of them could release the original version of it as "Battle of the Sexes: Director's Cut". If not, I hope Shawnna at least releases her own BotS album and picks up another male artist to fill the void (my top choice would be Twista) |
