Damn I'm getting tired of writing "what happened to Ludacris", but seriously, what happened to Luda? Is he now just so successful he lost the desire to really put his energy into rapping? This isn't sports, there's no reason for Luda to fall off as he gets older, but the evidence is mounting.

Take his new single, "Jingalin". Damn, ten years ago Ludacris would have absolutely crushed this beat. There's be at least three tempo switched, and at least three laugh out loud lines. But now? I mean, he raps on time to the beat, and that's about it. And what's with that slowed down bridge? On the real, I'm mostly just confused. There has to be a reason the man with the best flow in the game now sounds like he's just going through the motions.

Luda's "Ludaversal" album is set to drop this summer, which I guess gives me some time to work up the energy to care. Hopefully there's much better material on the way. Oh, and Funk Flex tags for now. I'll update with the clean version asap, not that it will matter a whole lot.
