Lil Wayne and Eminem “Drop the World” in New Video (Watch!)

Posted by Nathan S. on 03/08/10 | Filed under Top Stories, Videos, Lil Wayne, Eminem

Before he headed off the slammer (or was supposed to) Lil Wayne engaged in a flurry of activity, reportedly having eight dental surgeries, shooting ten videos and, of course, drinking enough syrup to kill a blue whale. Today we're focused on the second item on that prestigious list, as Weezy F unleashes some apocalyptic visuals for his smash with Eminem, "Drop the World". Enjoy.

(Quick note: This is the official but leaked version (wasn't supposed to drop until Friday), so the powers that be might put this video out of commission. Watch while you can.)

The Refined Take:

1) This video's supposed to take place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, so they just shot it in Detroit. The sad thing is that people from Detroit weren't offended by that joke, they just nodded their heads in agreement .

2) Yo, at the 2:09 mark Wayne opens his hand and there's something written on it. Can anyone make out what it is? It looks like "More..." or "Wore..." Goddammit, is this video going to turn into a "Lost" episode?

3) What is everyone so mad about? They just found out that Sandra Bullock won the Best Actress Oscar over Meryll Streep. Fucking bullshit. "The Blind Side" sucked.

4) Yep. Just like the song, Eminem absolutely fu**king killed this video. I think it's safe to say that Em is fully back, and he's out for vengeance.

5) Just in case you're one of the seven people with a computer who hasn't already downloaded "Drop the World", you can do so here.

I think this video really captures the meaning of the song; the dark backgrounds definitely add to the music.

Dear window xp,

I know you're just a spam comment, but instead of deleting you, I thought I'd keep you around so everyone can give you a huge middle finger and get some spam-related stress out. Have at it people.

And yes, this video fits the song perfectly. I was watching "Children of Men" this weekend and having flashbacks watching this. Anyone else seen that flick?

It says "The Word"... at least I'm pretty confident it does.

If xp is a spam profile, why no links in his comment? lol
