Artists only really want to know how to get their music posted, but beyond the basics there's really only one way: Be original. It's just not enough to be good, or even dope. There are a lot of dope rappers out there. If you want to grab people's attention you have to come with something new, and do it in a way that's not forced (aka "Look at me, I'm crazy!!!").

Case in point, Leikeli47's "Miss America". Frankly I don't know much about her besides she's from Brooklyn, but although her music is still raw and a work in progress, she's got a style and sound that actually had me watching her entire video.

Those interested can cop the "Miss America" here. And regardless of what you think about Leikeli47, respect to any young woman rapping who's not a Nicki clone, and respect to originality.
