Today we’re giving the female readers of RefinedHype.com a reason to celebrate. Okay, that may be a bit of an exaggeration but instead of featuring men’s kicks or clothing lines featuring nothing but menswear we’re going to take a look at a very female friendly brand. The brand we’re referring to is the vintage inspired
Boxing Kitten. The line features dresses, crop tops, capris, and other warm weather friendly pieces. Just a few days ago Boxing Kitten released their spring/summer 2011 lookbook.
Like last year’s collection this year’s line also features bright colors, geometrical patterns, sharp cuts, and more. But unlike last year Boxing Kitten has incorporated several solid color pieces including a chic black and white dress and a sheer black button-up shirt.
Boxing Kitten’s latest collection was reportedly inspired by the 1965 film Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! Kill! Since I’m not really one for older flicks I definitely had to do a little bit of research to understand the reference to the movie. Apparently the movie is about a trio of strippers who take people hostage and rip off old men. So if kidnapping and scheming fall under your list of hobbies then the Boxing Kitten spring/summer 2011 collection is clearly for you. I’m joking of course.
Overall the collection is pretty impressive and I like how they incorporated both the colorful, geometric patterns and the solid colors this year. And if you’re interested in any of Boxing Kitten’s threads I highly suggest you jump on it now before knock offs appear at a Target and/or H&M near you. It’s only a matter of time.
