Kooley High & King Mez Have That “Sky View” (Listen & Download)

Now that the DMV has gone from overlooked to centerstage on the national hip-hop scene, my pick for the next upstart region to blow is North Carolina. After acts like 9th Wonder and Little Brother laid down the foundation, a new wave of NC blood seems poised to take it to the next level; new blood that comes to us today in the form of Kooley High and their new cut "Sky View". On "Sky View" produced DJ Prince lays down a subtlety fresh beat that the Kooley Crew emcees (Tab-One, Rapsody, Charlie Smarts, Foolery, The Sinopsis) use to flew their lyrical muscles, and as if that wasn't enough, they also brought in "Parapelegic" King Mez for a guest verse. If you're in the mood for some of that laid back, lyrical hip-hop, it just doesn't get much better than this.

"Sky View" didn't make the final cut of Kooley's upcoming album "Eastern Standard Time", due to drop on July 27, which only makes me even more stoked to hear "EST". When NC's running the game in five years don't say I didn't warn ya.
