K’naan & Nas’ Almost Perfect “Nothing To Lose” Falls Victim To A Tragic Hook (Listen)

Seems like Somali-Canadian rapper K'naan has been M.I.A. for quite some time, but the rapper is back and he's back in a major way thanks to this new track featuring none other than Nas. I've always really liked K'naan as a rapper, there's something about the way he raps and his flow that makes him unique so I was feeling "Nothing To Lose" within a matter of seconds. On "Nothing To Lose" K'naan and Nas swap verses as they rap about paying dues and the struggle involved with trying to come up. Both K'naan and Nas put in solid verses, but the song does have one downfall.

"Nothing To Lose" was almost a perfect song in my eyes until I heard the hook. Great way to ruin an almost perfect song. It sounds like it could be the intro song to any given Disney Channel show. I'm feeling "Nothing To Lose" so I guess I'll just have to force the hook to grow on me.
