Let's just start with the craziest part first.
This guy is on the same track as
this guy. It's hard to describe how unlikely
T.I. going in over an
El-P beat is: it's not quite as crazy as Juicy J was rhyming over a Dilla beat, but it's definitely crazier than Juicy J rhyming over a Skrillex beat. Did that make any sense? Probably not. But the point is I f**king love that I live in the same world as "
Big Beast", and all praise due to
Killer Mike for making it happen.
For the record, a Killer Mike and EL-P collaboration isn't that crazy. For all his, well, killing, Mike's been known to have a pretty wicked sense of humor and has ended up
on the same set as El-P a few times. So I can only imagine that in between takes EL-P started playing Mike some shit, Mike grabbed it and started working the phones with TIP and
Bun B.
Boom, just like that we've got one of the most murderous tracks or the year, and a full Mike x El-P collaborative project, "R.A.P. Music (Rebellious African People’s Music)", to look forward to. Oh fucks yes - this is that punch a kitten in the face music.
