Who is Kida? Don't worry, you're not the first person to ask that question. A Los Angeles based emcee who's actually been in the game for a minute, Kida is on a mission to make himself a household name with his recently launched freestyle series "Who is Kida?" Today's edition of the series, "Poorman's Hustla" features Kida going in over a dope beat from Jake One, using his unshakable flow to reach out to everyone out there hustling to pay the rent and take their lives to the next level.

On a side note, this freestyle reminds me that almost nothing's more important for an artist than name recognition. As Marlo Stansfield would say, "My name is my name!" (There's never an inappropraite time to quote "The Wire".)
