Kanye’s Beat is the Weak Link on Consequence x Cudi’s “On My Own” (Listen)

Unless we're talking about a contest to see who can refrain the longest from sexting pics of his dong (you know, that contest) it's hard to imagine that Kanye would ever be the weak link, but here we are. Just take a listen to Consequence's new release "On My Own".

As always Cons rhymes are solid, though frankly I'd like to hear him rhyme about something other than how hard it is to make it in the rap game. And while Kid Cudi's hook won't blow anyone away, it's solid to. But that Kanye beat? Eh. I see where 'Ye was going, that vocal sample is nice, but things really fall apart on the hook. In other words, there's a reason while Yeezy let this one go.

And now for the fine print....hardcore fans will remember "On My Own" arriving in snippet form when it was supposed to be a part of "Cons TV". Didn't happen, but it was a shame to keep it on the shelf, so boom.
