This new "Good Friday" joint is so dope it's giving me Tourettes: Holy sh*t balls f**k godd*mn "The Joy" is incredible. So incredible in fact, that I'm not even going to bring up Kid Cudi's non-performance. Instead, let's recognize that 99% of the rappers in the game would kill their grandmothers to put out a record like this, and Kanye West did it for free in his spare time. The man's just on a different level.

The beat, courtesy of Yeezy and the legendary, often tributed Pete Rock, is a historically fresh joint built around this Curtis Mayfield sample. I can't wait for a ton of wack rappers to think they can freestyle over this beat and completely ruin it. You don't deserve this beat, please don 't try. And then on the mic side Kanye delivers one of his most top to bottom solid performances in a minute, Jay hops on with a non-mind-blowing but still pretty damn good verse, and Charlie Wilson ices things off with some vocals. Oh, and Kudi mumbles in auto-tune at one point. Damnit, I swore I wasn't going to bring that up. Point is, "The Joy" is holy sh*t balls dope, and if you're feeling it, you're not a hip-hop fan.
