Don't worry. Joell Ortiz hasn't relocated from the bodega to a double-side trailer out in Arkansas. No, the name of his new mixtape "Road Kill", presented alongside Frequency, is a nod to the project's origin story. Apparently not happy with merely crushing shows during a fifty day tour with Slaughterhouse and Tech N9ne, Ortiz recorded a grip of new dope material while traveling America's highways, and lucky for us all that down time has resulted in a dope new mixtape from one of the most prolifically talented emcees in the game right now, Joell Ortiz.
Enjoy, and remember: that's a dead squirrel on the road, not a delicious appetizer.
