Joell Ortiz & Novel Want the Pretty Girls to “Call Me” (Video & Bonus Download)

I know we've been focusing on the more adult side of love today, but I wanted to take it back to a more innocent time with the release of Joell Ortiz' new video "Call Me". A nostalgia soaked track about love in simpler time that brings on Ortiz's "Defying the Predictable" partner Novel, if "Call Me" doesn't set you to reminiscing you probably don't have a soul.
The Refined Take:
1) Ah, the classic "Do you like me, check one" move. I wonder how that would work on a woman now? She'd probably either think you were cute or frighteningly immature. Feel free to try it out and get back to us.
2) I would have loved to have been in the casting call when the kid who plays young Joell Ortiz walked into the room. I bet they took one look at him and were immediately like, "Ok, it's a wrap. Everyoen else can go home." You could have told me that was actual archival footage of Ortiz back in the day and I'd believe you.
3) "Mom! Go away, I'm trying to get my mack on in here." Man, I do not miss those days.
4) In retrospect I totally should have seen the "girl shows up as a women" twist coming but I won't front, it blindsided me. I'm not saying it was the "6th Sense", but I have to give it up to the director. He got me on that one.
5) As a special gift I'm throwing in Novel's dope but misleadingly titled new song, "N.I.G.G.A. (Valentine's Song)". To download click here or here.
