Jim Jones the Ghost of Rich Porter Mixtape Cover
Back in Jim Jones' "Ballin!" days I couldn't have imagines myself saying this, but over the last couple of years (specifically after his "Harlem's American Gangster" album) I've slowly grown to actually respect Jones as a rapper...I still can't believe I just typed that sentence. He easily gets my vote for most improved rapper, which is why I was legitimately stoked to listen to his new cut "Haunted", an appropriately ethereal produced but by 1.2 that Jones drives home with two legitimately dope verses. Maybe I'll be saying the same thing about guest artist Gucci Mane in a couple years....naw. Not gonna happen, and you can quote me on that.

"Haunted" is off Jones upcoming "Ghost of Rich Porter" mixtape, which you'll know where to find when it drops March 23.

I feel like Ghostface and Styles P have the "ghost" name locked down for New York rapper. Maybe Jim Jones could start calling himself Double J - then he could be a rapper or a mid-90s WWF wrestler.

I mean why did I even listen to this? I knew it was going to be bad and it didn’t disappoint. I give it to Jim Jones he has improved, but just not enough. I think the Blackroc song he did with Mos must have been a fluke.
