Jeff Chery is “Going Against the Grain” (FreEP Listen & Download)

Tuesday turned out to be a long day of dope mixtapes, and closing out our March Mixtape Madness (as least for now) is Haitian-born, ATL-based rapper Jeff Chery and his new, long awaited mixtape/album/EP "Going Against the Grain". You know how some rappers just seem destined to make it big? That's Chery. The man's got an undeniable blend of raw talent and an ear for catchy commercial tracks, a combination that's on full display on "Going Against the Grain". Not everyone's going to love this, but everyone should like it. Yes, even you "I'm posted on the corner" guy.

Going Against the Grain features production from J. Hot, Jimmy Chiba and Ique (along with several instrumentals by P. Haze) and guest appearances by Ray Lavender, Harlems Cash, Honey and Lykke Li. Enjoy.
