As all J Dilla heads know, there are two kinds of J D related projects. Those that have the Ma Dukes stamp of approval, and those that don't. This upcoming 'Rebirth of Detroit" album, featuring some of the game's most straight laced emcees over authentic Dilla beats, is absolutely Ma Dukes approved, so it's RefinedHype approved as well.

To be real, not everything that's come after Dilla's passing, approved or not, has been up to his lofty standards, but there's still some seriously dope music being made, and if it helps keep the man's memory alive, I'm all for it. So if you've memorized every note of "Donuts", enjoy two new cuts: "Detroit Games" featuring Chuck Inglish and Boldy James, and "DILLATROIT" featuring Supa Emcee, Nick Speed and Guilty Simpson.
