Good Jordans, Bad Jordans: The Air Jordan VII “Olympic” vs. Air Jordan VII ‘Raptors’Posted by Nathan S. on 08/06/12 | Filed under Style, Sneakers, Nike |

First and foremost, I am NOT a sneaker head. Sure, I like kicks as much as the next guy, but I know too many guys who have spent their rent money on shoes they'll never wear to dare call myself a sneaker head. All I really know is what I like and what I don't like.
In that spirit, when I saw the that Nike has dropped a re-release of the Air Jordan VII "Olympic" kicks, I had to quick zoom over to Wells Fargo to check the ol' bank account. In large part my love for the '92 Dream Team has to be fueling my desire for these sneakers, but I just don't think there's any doubt these are fresh as fuck:

By contrast, when I saw that the Air Jordan VII "Raptors" were due to arrive in September, I recoiled. Unless you're one of the aforementioned sneaker heads who simply needs every new Jordan in his closet, I have a hard time believing anyone would actually fork over cash for them. They're not actively ugly, but unless you're into celebrating the storied NBA franchise that is the Toronto Raptors, or enjoy spending money on mediocre things, who's getting excited over these?

The funny things is that color aside, there's very little difference between the two shoes. And yes, one is a must have for me, the other I couldn't care less about. So there, that's my completely uninformed and highly subjective opinion. If there are any legit sneakers heads out there in RefinedHype Nation who want to try to set me straight in the comments below have at it, but for now that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
