Gil Scott Heron & Nas Murder “New York Is Killing Me” (Listen & Download)

If you don't know who Gil Scott Heron is, you need to do your history man. I'm not going to say that Heron was the "first" rapper, but back in the 70s he and his Last Poets crew were undoubtedly some of the best lyricists alive. It's no wonder then that modern hip-hop artists have cited the man as an influence (see Common's "The Corner"), including none other than God's son Nas, who jumped on Heron's new track "New York is Killing Me".

I don't want to get all old man preachy here, but seriously, although they're from slightly different genres, you've got two of the best lyricists of the last century on one track here, and they sound fu**king incredible.
