In 1973 an up-and-coming young boxer named George Foreman stepped into the ring with undisputed champion Joe Frazier and made quick work of the champ, hammering him with blows before knocking him down for good in the second round. 27 years later, another fast riser is poised to challenge rap's heavyweights for the crown, Ghostwridah.
Coming off the release of his "In Love With My Future" mixtape, which contained one of my favorite records of the year, "Still Not Famous", Ghost is gearing up to release his new LP 'American Alien", and to start building some deserved hype he's leaked a new track, the deeply constructed "Down Goes Frazier". Featuring an ambient beat by Remi and some predictably dope lyricism from Ridah (check for the DMX reference), this one's repeat worthy.
(And yes, I know I mixed my Ali and Foreman references in the headline.)
