It won't go platinum, and you won't see them performing at the American Music Awards, but "Vodka & Ayahuasca", the new album from
Gangrene (aka
Alchemist and Oh No), is one of the better hip-hop albums to drop in a minute, provided you like your hip-hop as dark, distorted and no-fucks-giving as possible. Think about Drake. Now think about the exact opposite. That's Gangrene.
So before the album gets "old" by internet standards (aka it's been more than a week since it dropped) Gangrene wanted to hit people up with one last banger, "
Dark Shades", also feature
Roc C and Alchemist's longtime collaborator
Evidence. This shit right here will melt your face off.
Stream and download are below just one of the fucking amazing promo videos for the album (you can check out the full collections
here). Enjoy:
p.s. - Those interested in reading me break down Alchemist's Forrest Gump-esque rap career, which has prominently featured both Cypress Hill and Scott Kaan, can do so
here.
