When I first heard that the name of Game's next single off of his upcoming album was titled
"Good Girls Go Bad" and that it featured
Drake I had certain expectations about the song. They weren't bad expectations I just expected to hear a radio-friendly club tune, but after hearing Game's first verse I realized my expectations were all wrong. I was really taken aback by how genuine and heartfelt the verse was, from the Natalee Holloway reference to mentions of his own daughter. Most missing women don't even make it onto the news so to hear
Game say let's "focus on them" in a Hip-Hop song is really something else.
While not quite as deep as Game's verse Drake still does a good job of keeping up the momentum of the song. He does kinda kill the whole "I respect females" vibe of the song a bit with that "bad bitches" line, but I'll give him an A for effort. And can we talk about the production for a second? Cool & Dre went in on this one. Out of all of Game's recent leaks the production on "Good Girls Go Bad" is by far the best.
"R.E.D. Album" will be out next week on August 23rd.
