Part of me thinks that
Game actually made his
"Red Nation" video so it would be banned by MTV, subsequently giving him far more press than he would have gotten otherwise. Either way, he's still not much closer to regaining his status as an elite rapper, and I don't think new single "
Bottles & Rockin' J's" will help much. Even with Busta Rhymes, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Fabolous, Maino, Ma$e, Roxanne Shante and Snow joining in on the guest verse tip. (Note: Not all guest features listed actually real.)
On the real though, I'm obviously refusing to officially list DJ Khaled in the credits. Actually do something and we'll talk Khaled. And yes, I know this is the exact same
Lex Luger beat we've already heard 47 times, but that shit still bangs. Lyrically it's not really worth getting too deep, so I'll just leave it at
Busta Rhymes continues his surprisingly streak of actually rhyming like he gives a fuck,
Ross will send everyone look up his Boston George reference (
boom), Game is ok and
Loso and
Wayne are somewhere between ok and eh.
The "R.E.D. Album" drops sometime between "Detox" and the end of days. (Or August 23, according to the label.) No word yet on whether Game's verse
was ghostwritten.
