I'm not going to touch any version of a "best rapper alive" conversation, frankly I just don't have the energy for another debate like that. But I'm not going to hesitate to say that Freddie Gibbs is one of my top-ten favorite rappers alive, so when he drops new music, even if its new/old music, I'm on it like Fat Joe on a taco truck Rick Ross on a bowl of lobster bisque.

Originally spotted on Gibbs' now nearly two-years-old project "Str8 Killa, No Filla", the Gary gangster is now re-upping "Face Down" with an extended clip that features an extra verse and even more bass to get the stick up boys motivated. Lord help anyone who listens to this and "Murda On My Mind" back-to-back, they're liable to go on a bath salts-esque rampage.

Word is that Gibbs is working on his debut CTE album now. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little nervous to hear how that turns out. His work with Jeezy so far hasn't always been up to his lofty standards. But those are worries for another day. For now I'm just banging this...
