As part of a new series I'm loosely calling "You Should Come and Buy Me Drinks in Atlanta, Oh, And Also Here's Some Dope Music" I'm proud to present Freddie Gibbs and El Prez' new single "Executive Decision". I've said it a hundred times and I'll say it again, Gibbs' flow is simply one of the best, if not the best in the game, especially over a smoothed out Speakerbomb beat like this. And props to the homey El Prez for making the Gary, Indiana to L.A. connection. Good times all around.
"Executive Decision" is off the A3C Hip-Hop Festival's compilation album. Speaking of which, in just a few days I'll be flying out to Atlanta to a) drop a million on the floor of King of Diamonds 2) accept drinks from anyone willing to buy them for me and 3) running the mothership's A3C stage (see the flyer below). If you'll be in the area you should definitely come find me.
And while I wasn't able to grab Gibbs for our stage, he goes on Friday night at 11pm. Which means you can listen to Big K.R.I.T.'s set at DJBooth's stage until 10:30, then walk around the corner and catch Gangster Gibbs. Or at least that's my plan. Fuck yeah.
