Folk & Stress Recruit GZA to Ingest Some “New York Ginseng” (Listen & Download)

Fok & Stress The Box
Jay isn't the only one who loves the Empire State's capital. Up-and-coming New York duo Folk & Stress are beginning to make some serious noise on the nation's underground scene, and on their new single "New York Ginseng" it's easy to see why. While a fittingly boom-bap beat bumps in the background Folk & Stress spit rhymes full of literary references (shout out to James Fenimore Cooper anyone?) and hip-hop quotes (Dead Prez's "Turn on the radio, f*ck it, turn it off"). And just in case you looked at their pic and started doubting, they've got a co-sign in the form of a verse from Wu-Tang's GZA. Recognize.

"New York Ginseng" is from Folk & Stress' debut album "The Box", coming soon and featuring GZA, Aesop Rock, Blu, Vast Aire, Bronze Nazareth & more.

I never heard of folk and stress but they sound nice on a wu-tang flavored track with the Genius.

In fact, I think it is illegal to make a beat like this and NOT have GZA rap on it.
