I know this is going to shock you, but this rapper is doing a weekly series. Ok, so
Fashawn's "Sunday School" series, leading up to his "Higher Learning" mixtape (coming soon) may not be the most original idea, or at all original, but the net result is that we get new music from the "
Grizzly City" creator on a regular basis, and that can't be a bad thing. Even when there's something just not quite right about that new music - like on today's
Javelin produced cut, "
Going Home".
I'm obviously a huge Fashawn supporter - there's a reason I nominated him for "Mixtape of the Year" in
the RefinedHype Awards - but is it just me or is there something off about this one? Like the beat and his flow don't quite sync up? Alone the production's nice in a mellow way, and his flow's nice, but it just doesn't come together in a smooth package for me. Anyone else, or do I need to stop drinking Guinness for breakfast?
