Fabolous Butchers New Video “I’m Raw” (Watch!)

Posted by Nathan S. on 04/08/10 | Filed under Top Stories, Videos, Fabolous

The best punchline rapper in the game Fabolous is still heavily promoting his new mixtape "There is no Competition: The Funeral Service 2", and accordingly last night we got broken off with some visuals from the mixtape's standout cut "I'm Raw". If you ever wanted to watch Loso get his Rocky on in a meat locker, now's your chance.

The Refined Take:

1) I have to say, I like the concept of a young Loso working part time while trying to be a rap star, but I do have one problem; his co-worker. Have you ever seen someone that hot working in a deli? Me neither. It's like that Taco Bell commercial where the dude asks for Denise cause he thinks he's getting a hook-up from her. There is not, and has never been, a Taco Bell employee that attractive. They just don't exist.

2) Now I've never worked in a butcher shop, but I'm pretty sure wearing sunglasses in a meat locker is a safety hazard.

3) On the real though, I have to give it up to Loso on this track. "So I sit and get fried, call the weed electric chair." Goddamn that man's got the best punchlines in the game.

4) For the record, walking around with Fabolous wearing a tight black dress doesn't make you a ho. Posing on a piano in the sutdio while he raps? Yeah, then you're a ho.

5) If the sight of Loso working on his some meat has you feeling properly inspired, you an listen to and download "Funeral Service 2" here. And no, I'm not above juvenile jokes.

I love this song, (and that ho on the piano). But one quick question: Why was this mixtape so good and Loso's Way a disappointment?

@Young Swish - Because the label obviously got involved in Loso's Way. It's obvious that when left to his own devices Fab makes some dope hip-hop, but once the suits get involved they water him down. It's a sadly common occurence

@Almost Forgotten "How did Loso afford those Beats headphones on a butcher's salary??" <<< Excellent point. He's apparently spending his entire salary on hats, sunglasses and headphones.

heh... those headphones reminded me of the old Steven Seagal movies... Seagal aways plays a cop, on a cop salary, but rocks ugly $1000 shirts.

Fabo has 2 classics then Loso's Way stunk.

What's with the motorized faders on the console? Are we(the audience) supposed to think that the mixing was done like that? lol
