The words "respect" and "women" don't usually appear in the same sentence when it comes to rap (unless you're Queen Latifah), so it's unfortunately remarkable that up-and-coming Arkansas emcee
Epiphany decided to title his new mixtape "
Respect Pt. 2 (Women)". The latest in his ongoing "Respect" series, "Women" isn't an unflinching examination of male-remale relations, for better and worse, fueled by Epiphany's on point microphone work. In other words, it's a much more realistic version of Luda's "Battle of the Sexes", only with nary a Gucci Mane verse to be found.
"Respect Pt. 2 (Women)" also features vocal contributions from
Rah Howard, Double M, Gina Gee, Rocks*r Jones, and
K. Sparks, along with boardwork from
Bossman, JP and more. Keep it locked for updates on Epiphany's upcoming "Respect Pt. 3 (Life)" and "Respect Pt. 4 (Natch)" projects, coming quasi-soon-ish.
