I debated for a while whether to give this a Rap Nerdery tag or not. On one hand, even people with an entry level of rap knowledge should get the Nas "Illmatic" reference, it doesn't take a rap nerd to know that. On the other hand, sadly not a ton of folks are up on Elzhi, even if I said he used to be in Slum Village. You know, Slum Village? That group that Dilla was also in? Who's Dilla? Get the fuck off my site.

I'm sorry, I got carried away there for a moment in an imaginary argument. More importantly, Elzhi's back with a new free project, "Elmatic" and it's pretty damn dope. Produced entirely by Will Sessions, fellow D-Town MC Royce da 5’9” and "Illmatic" beatmaker Pete Rock also make appearances. Full fledged rap nerd or not, enjoy.
