Despite The Name Jay Electronica Isn’t Playing Any Games On “Call Of Duty” (Listen & Download)

If I didn't know any better I honestly would have thought that yesterday was National Jay Electronica Day. The rapper seemed to all of a sudden start Tweeting again, he made several public appearances throughout the day, and to top it all off he finally released some new music. Jay Electronica made his triumphant return last night on "Call Of Duty (Modern Warfare)" with help from the infamous Mobb Deep.

I'm glad Jay brought it with the bars because you can't be gone this long and not bring any heat, but he really brings it and I'm not mad at that Prodigy hook either. As far as the production it almost has a machine-like sound to it which is pretty unique. I do wish Jay would have brought a little more aggression to "Call Of Duty" though. It sounded like he recorded this on a sandy beach in Hawaii, it's just a little too relaxed and nonchalant for a comeback song.

Nathan Update: Gotta love his "Ni**as call my album Detox / Cause they know I’m finna bring the next Chronic." I'd point out that's definitely not why people call his album "Detox", but I think he's actually making fun of himself.
