As if secretly watching World Cup matches on ESPN3 wasn't a good enough way to waste time at work (seriously, check it out), last night MTV dropped a pretty good documentary on Drake as he prepared for the release of "Thank Me Later". And for all you haters out there, I'm not even going to apologize for watching this. Drake is the biggest story in hip-hop right now and it's fascinating to watch his life behind the scenes.

Fuck it, I'm happy for Drake's success. I first heard of him on his second "official" mixtape because of a track he had with Kardinal Offishall. On that particular track ("Last Hope") Kardi took it home, but Drake caught my interest. He's a good entertainer, and he makes good music. Is he the greatest singer on Earth? The greatest lyricist? No, but he doesn't have to be.

He's worked hard on getting up. And that's just it, no ifs, no buts, just congrats.
