DJ Khaled Welcome to My Hood
I was going to talk all this shit about DJ Khaled's new track, "Welcome to My Hood" (at least I assume it's new, it's getting hard to tell), but on second thought I've got nothing but praise for the man. He's been doing slightly, and I mean slightly, different versions of the same song for years now, and as long as people keep buying them, why should he stop? Take a generic street beat, get some combination of Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and Plies on the verses, grab T-Pain for the hook, and watch the checks come in. He's a genius. A lazy genius with man boobs that I kind of wish would die, but still, a genius.

On the plus side, we get a new "Rap Lines That Make No F**king Sense", frankly I'm surprised it took Plies this long to get in. "I know some ni**as from my hood that would rob Noriega / the real Noriega." What are the odds Plies actually knows who Noriega is? Considering that Noriega's in a French prison right now, your chances of robbing him in a Miami hood are pretty fucking small. In related news, I know some dude's that would fistfight Genghis Khan. The real Genghis Khan.

this guys songs are about his hood, and he probably doesnt even live there anymore, he talks about this place and weve never even heard of it.. its like narnia... another thing about this lil wayne verse, corrections officers on rikers said wayne was a paper tiger.

Am I the only one who thought it was odd that people play hopscotch in T-Pain's hood?

I fucking love RefinedHype Nation for the way we're ripping this track apart. Well played gentlemen - maybe I'll devote an entire "Breakdown Beatdown" to it.

And extra props to ITSxWILL, that Narnia reference had be rolling.

@iMg: Yes! That's what I thought too! SMH...

At least Khaled doesn't yell like f**k here.

I've heard at least 42 variations of this song in the past; wack...

Breakdown Beatdown please ! :D Khaled deserves it the most, i mean the fat boy with the boobies doesnt even make the beats and still get the checks.. well he is really a genius lol.

its a funny song btw coz Ross still thinks he is a black Corleone , Plies flow still horrible, and Wayne was high as shit again. T-Pain sounded like on every hook.

btw , in an old Khaled song, "go Ahead" i found a funny line:
Ross verse

Khaled, he the best in the game when he break it
She the baddest in the club, and I'm willin to take it

so Khaled is a SHEMALE! hence the boobs. peace!

Just a few questions:

1. Why the hell did Plies yell so much on the track? Is he mad or something because his album will never be enough to get him out this so called "hood"?

2. Since when do hood n*ggas play hopscotch?

3. you would think with all these songs about his "hood", Dj Khaled would know where the "hood" was located...

4. Speaking of hood songs, is this a new one? I would say I've heard this song before, but I've come to completely block out music that starts with "We da best!"... damned reflexes

5. If wanye talks a lot of sh*t, and practices what he preach, does that mean he's a shitty rapper? (here's a suggestion: yes)

6. Did anyone else have a hard time finding something wrong with that Ricky Ross verse? I know how you feel, I didn't listen to it either!

7. Seriously, is this new? I honestly can't tell :(

oh and on a side note, I know a couple of villains that would b*tchsmack batman, the real batman, in the real batcave
