At first look I was a little skeptical about Derrick Rose's new adiZero 2.5, but I think the look of Rose's latest collab with Adidas is starting to grow on me. It's definitely a dope basketball sneaker (with tons of basketball sneaker features), but it looks like it would also be a pretty fly everyday sneaker.
What's likely the coolest feature of the sneaker is the toe box in the very front of the sneaker. It's kind of hard to tell, but it actually features a satellite view of the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago where Rose grew up. And from the looks of it it seems like this feature is only available on the sneaker with the black colorway. But I think that it's unique features like this that really make a sneaker stand out.
The adiZero 2.5 will be available at Foot Locker stores starting in early February and will retail for $110.
Check out this video of Rose giving a quick review of the adiZero 2.5. And is it just me or does a sneaker tend to get uglier the bigger it is? Looks like Rose is reviewing a small boat.
